An in-depth study

One the main objective of this Leonardo Project is to take an in-depth look at dressmaking techniques. Professor Javier Ruisánchez and his students have focused on the relationship between illustration and fashion by studying thoroughly graphic design on fabric; their research shows how illustration is vital for the current fashion production by means of silk-screen printing or more innovative tools. Uno de los principales objetivos del Proyecto Leonardo es estudiar más en profundidad las técnicas para la confección de ropa. El profesor Javier Ruisánchez y sus alumnos se han centrado en la relación existente entre la ilustración y la moda, y han investigado acerca del diseño gráfico sobre telas; sus conclusiones apuntan a que la ilustración es clave en la producción actual de moda a través de técnicas como la estampación u otras más innovadoras.
