Among the specific objectives of our Leonardo Project,
we wanted to point out these two: “To raise awareness and respect in cultural
traditions” and “To develop awareness of the extend and diversity of opportunities in learning and work”. The final project presented by Illustration student Silvia Martínez succeeds in matching this two objectives. It is called "The Magic Needle"; sewing and drawing at the same time become possible through this amazing tool. Silvia uses it to embroider colorful wedding gifts based on naïf motifs and sells them on her web page.
To do this, Silvia has carried out a deep research on art naïf (available here) and has presented a complete project.
We wish to support our students; professionals can look at Silvia´s curriculum vitae and porfolio and buy her products.
